General information
Marble is a metamorphic rock formed in the process of transformation of carbonate rocks (limestone and dolomite). Depending on the mineral addmixtures marble can assume variety of colours and patterns. It tarnishes under the influence of acidic agents.Marble is less resistant to the atmospheric conditions, abrassion and compression than granite.
Application
The unique beauty of marble had already been appresiated in acient times. At present it is broadly applied for making indoor floors, wall panels, table tops, counters, stairs. Marble is especially recommended for places exposed to averange treffic and limited atmospheric impact.
